As you get older what have you found success in?

I found success in multiple things as I got older. One subject in school I have found success in is Social Studies. I think I found success in Social Studies because I find it interesting and like learning the subject. I also found success in running cross country. When I started cross country in seventh grade I was awful at it. In eight grade I wasn't much better. But now I am breaking 11:56 in the two mile and on the ninth grade and under team. Cross country has made me a great person and I hope I do it throughout my whole high school year.     Another thing I found success in is lacrosse. Lacrosse is a really challenging sport and that what I like about it. Lacrosse always challenges me to do my best. I have found success in this by being on a varsity team and being on a select lacrosse team. These things are some of the things I have found success in.

Human Nature

Human nature is good and evil. It depends on who the human is and what his or her life has been like up to this point. Their human nature can change, their human nature all depends on the person current life situation. Even if a human is a great person, everyone is flawed. Every person has something about them that makes them not perfect because no one is perfect. Human nature though is complex within its self because there is good and evil, but it is also flawed.      I got these views looking at the news and seeing all the wars that are going on then seeing all the good things about the human nature. The evil view came from all the terrorist attacks and wars I have seen. But good is seeing my grandma and giving her a hug and spending quality time with friends and family. But even in good moments, you can see how flawed the world is because you can tell sometimes at those family gatherings people are sad.

LSU v. Florida

November 19, 2016. This day I was so excited to see my favorite team play, the LSU fighting tigers. LSU sadly lost this day to Florida in a heartbreak whenever Derrius Guice ran the wrong way and got stopped on the one yard line and lost the game. However LSU was hoping to get revenge after their horrific lost last year on Saturday. LSU traveled down to Gainesville, Florida to play Florida in the Swamp. I went to my friend's house to watch this game.       When I got to his house it was still a tied game. Until halftime, LSU was up 10-3. The game got a lot better in the second half when Florida went on a 13-7 point run to have the game at 17-16 going into the fourth quarter. I was really nervous because I did not want LSU to lose a close game again. I was really happy though when LSU made  the stop and won the game 17-16 and beat Florida and got revenge.

Reading Response - A&P

My reading response it to A&P by John Updike. In this book the main character is Sammy and while reading this I found five different traits of Sammy. One trait of Sammy is that he is very childish, Sammy likes joking around with his friend who also works at the store. Sammy is very judgemental, throughout the whole story he is very judgmental of different people. Sammy also has a very vivid imaginative he thinks up different scenarios within the story. Sammy also observes everything that happens within the store. Sammy also was very impulsive at the ending by just quitting, but you could also see the ending as Sammy standing up for his beliefs.       I really liked how the author let us see everything Sammy was thinking and seeing. It was almost like we are there were Sammy is. Even though we could see everything some of the parts were very weird and creeped me out to see what was all going through is head. The setting in this book was in a A&P, which is a grocery store

Flash Fiction

It was the last and most important, and last intergalactic gladiator between Zygon the Great and Dyrden the Human. Zygon came into the battle undefeated while Dyrden has never fought anyone before. Zygon came in at 6’2 while Dyrden is 5’6. Dyrden was a huge underdog. They’re was creature from all over the galaxy. Everyone was placing bets on Zygon. Only one person placed a bet on Dryden, that was Justin. Justin always picked the underdog but he never wins the bet. Dryden killed Zygon with one punch to the head which left everyone in shock besides Justin.

Reading Response: Harrison Bergeron

Harrison Bergeron was one of the most interesting pieces of writing I have ever read. I am usually a huge fan of books with utopia worlds. In the beginning I was very confused on why the the government gave handicaps to certain people, if this was in the real world I would hate it so much because if I had to live with a sound I would hate it. I'm also confused on part of the story is why doesn't government just make it to the average. One thing I noticed was that I think is that the ballerinas were a subplot or a representation of how George feels.      Harrison I think was a representation of some of the government being overthrown. Also I really liked how the author represented Harrison because it showed him being angry then having a romantic moment with his ballerina. Harrison Bergeron overall was on of the weirdest stories I have read but even though it was weird I really liked the book.
