Poem: Mountain farmer

I was staying in a snowy mountain lodge on Monday,
with the realization of learning that

I must wake at the crack of dawn
to the sounds of chicken crows.

I wake up to miss the kiss of my wife
which would be nice.

I am sad, sour, and sore with the sound of snakes hissing.
They only hiss at me,

or am I the only thing they see
no that cant be.

Because my family is here with me,
to run the farm with so the whole world can see.

Techniques used: Assonance, sibilance, euphony, cacophony

  1. I like how you used many words that started with the same letter. Your poem has many moods in it which is interesting.
