Free Post: Buffalo Trip

My family and I went to Buffalo, New York for a weekend for my mom's work. I had never been so far north. The farthest north I had ever been before this trip was San Fransisco. When we landed we were greeted by my mom's good friend Mrs. Liz. It felt oddly warm in the airport for how cold it said it was outside, but then I stepped outside and the cold hit me it felt like one of those walk in freezers they have in butcher shops. I wanted to get to the house as quick as I could. Once we got to Mrs. Liz's house we met her husband who made some of the best steaks I have ever had. I went to sleep early that night due to the time difference I was really tired.
The next day I went to Niagara Falls, which was the prettiest place I have ever seen. It was so interesting to see so much water just pumping out. The next day though was the day I have been waiting for the Saint versus Bills game. On Sunday morning I dressed very warm and got ready for my Saints to take home a win. I got to the tailgate spot and was surprised on how many Saints fans there were in Bill's territory. We stayed at the tailgate for a little bit then headed into the game. I saw some of the weirdest tailgating traditions though while I was walking to the stadium, the fans would jump on table that were on fire which was crazy to me. I finally got into the stadium and it was packed. The game I thought was going to be very close but the Saint ended up crushing the Bills which made me a very happy Saints fan.

LOTF Response

[Piggy:] "I don't agree with all Jack said, but with some.  'Course there isn't a beast in the forest.  How could there be?  What would a beast eat?" "Pig." "We eat pig." "Piggy!" "I got the conch!" said Piggy indignantly.  "Ralph--they ought to shut up, oughtn't they?  You shut up, you littluns!  What I mean is that I don't agree about this here fear.  Of course there isn't nothing to be afraid of in the forest.  Why--I been there myself!  You'll be talking about ghosts and such things next.  We know what goes on and if there's something wrong, there's someone to put it right." He took off his glasses and blinked at them.  The sun had gone as if the light had been turned off. [...] "Life," said Piggy expansively, "is scientific, that's what it is.  In a year or two when the war's over they'll be traveling to Mars and back.  I know there isn't no beast--not wit...

Strengths and Challenges

One of my strengths is that I can make personal connections within my writing. This strength helped me in my personal narrative and connect my life. Another strength of mine is being able to write short response to a topic. This strength helps me in other classes besides English because I use this strength in history.       One of my challenges is that I am awful with grammar. I tried to fix this challenge over the year and it improved a little bit, but I still had to practice on it and use Grammarly a lot. Another challenge of mine was researching a topic then writing about it. I really had trouble with the research project because of this challenge

Free Post- Shaquem Griffin

Shaquem Griffin has had a bunch of buzz around his name every since is outstanding performance in the NFL Combine this year. Griffin ran a 4.38 forty-yard dash, which was the fast forty-yard dash time for a linebacker. Griffin did a twenty repetitions of a 225 pound weight. Shaquem also did great in the drills were you show off you skills in your actual position. People were really surprised when Griffin did all of these great things at the combine because he had to have his arm amputated at the age of four.      Griffin showed everyone that if you really shrive for something that you can do it. Griffin's performance at the combine is very inspiring because it showed me that if you work hard at anything it can happens. You just have to try your hardest at practice and never give up on your dreams and anything can happen.
